Cotton shortage

I have several product line which are affected by the cotton shortage which are now impacting service levels with our customer base.
I've been involved in buying ahead or securing raw material direct for mfg's in tight supply times with other raw materials, but no success this time. Primarily the mfg base is in China.
Any ideas ?

I believe this is a common issue throughout ASIA and until the cotton shortage eases, it will continue. We are in the same boat and looking at all options.
