Kim Butts, C.P.M., CPPB, received recognition for her work and her commitment to the National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM) — St. Louis at the group's June board meeting where she received the Purchaser Of The Year Award.
"Kim served a dual role as vice-president and director of marketing and is being recognized for her hard work to improve our Web-site and the appearance and contents of Buylines (the organization's newsletter). Congratulations to Kim on receiving this prestigious award," said Kay Givens, C.P.M., president of NAPM — St. Louis.
She started her current job at the City of Kirkwood four years ago as director of purchasing and program evaluation, which has the added responsibility of continuous improvement and supply management.
She purchases fire trucks and police cars as part of her job in procurement at the City of Kirkwood. She has 18 years of experience in the procurement field, including in the industries of aerospace, retail and finance.
