John D. Blascovich, CPSM, C.P.M., is a partner for A.T. Kearney, Inc., an independent, privately owned management consulting business. Blascovich coordinates A.T. Kearney's global procurement competency center. His work with A.T. Kearney's international e-supply corporate clients has focused on creating meaningful and sustainable cost reduction through large-scale procurement transformation initiatives.
Blascovich's work with A.T. Kearney's international e-supply corporate clients has focused on creating meaningful and sustainable cost reduction through large scale procurement transformation initiatives. These include designing and implementing advanced strategic sourcing concepts, realignment of the organization and adoption of e-supply management technologies. During the past 10 years at A.T. Kearney, Blascovich has led strategic sourcing projects that have delivered cost savings for clients that range from $100 million to more than $1 billion.
Blascovich is also the leader of Kearney's global procurement best practices research studies, known as the Assessment of Excellence in Procurement (AEP). These studies have included a broad range of companies in major industries and locations. Companies participating in the AEP have used the results to target their transformation or development efforts with regard to supply management. He also participated with CAPS Research on a global benchmarking study, Strategic Outsourcing: Emerging Trends and Success Factors, published in 2004.
Blascovich's industry experience includes serving as a senior engineer for Grumman Corp. from 1983 to 1989, where he was involved in aerodynamics modeling and testing as well as the preliminary design of advanced tactical aircraft. He holds an MBA. from New York University's Stern School of Business, as well as MS and BS degrees in aeronautics and astronautics from Massachusetts Institute for Technology.
