Timothy R. Fiore, CPSM, C.P.M., MCIPS, is senior vice president, supply management, CPO and member of the executive board at ThyssenKrupp NA based in Chicago. Fiore is responsible for developing a region-specific supply management strategy that addresses material cost, systems and tools as well as people capability at this large, diversified company, which manufactures and services technology componentry, steel, elevators and walkways as well as plant engineering, procurement and construction (EPC). He also supports the ThyssenKrupp global activity, which is centered in Essen, Germany.

Prior to joining ThyssenKrupp NA, Fiore was senior vice president, supply management at Terex Corporation, a global designer and manufacturer of construction, material handling, people handling and material processing equipment. In this position, he was responsible for managing a companywide supply management and strategic sourcing process. Using a central category management and leadership team, Fiore's group leveraged the spend across 30 global manufacturing sites to more effectively manage Terex's direct and indirect spend.

Fiore joined Terex from Celanese Corporation, a hybrid chemical company where he was senior vice president of supply management. Previously, he was senior vice president, supply management, CPO and president of Ryder Energy Distribution Company, a unit of Ryder System, Inc., a transportation and supply chain company. Prior to joining Ryder, Fiore was employed for 23 years by United Technologies Corporation companies in a series of procurement and supply chain management capacities.

Fiore is the current Chair of the Board of Trustees of CAPS Research. He is also a current member of the ISM Finance Committee. He has been a member of The Conference Board's Purchasing and Supply Leadership Council and a member of Howard University Business School's Supply Chain Advisory Board. He also sits as an adviser to ISM affiliate ISM—Connecticut, Inc. and has been a jury member for the European Business School and Supply Management Institute's professional development program for 2009. He is also a member of ISM's J. Shipman Award Committee as well as a Richter Scholar Mentor.

Fiore holds an MBA with a technology focus and a master's degree in management from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts.
