Janice Davis is group vice president, supply chain, at Shaw Communications Inc., where she plays a key role in enhancing end-to-end supply chain practices, including: strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier relationship development, inventory management, and warehouse and logistics management. She is responsible for developing and implementing Shaw's supply chain strategy.
Davis began her career as a production supervisor at General Motors, moving to Ford Motor Company in 1990. At Ford, she started in purchasing, and was later promoted to manager of supplier quality. By 1999, she was director of purchasing process leadership before serving as purchasing director for Lincoln Mercury. She also held the position of Ford's global purchasing director for electrical and electronic components and became certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt champion.
From August 2005 to March 2013, Davis was vice president and chief procurement officer at Bombardier Aerospace, where she led a global team responsible for the strategic procurement of aerospace products and services. At Bombardier, her focus was improving supplier performance, reducing waste, establishing common processes across the company, and enhancing employee engagement and retention.
Davis graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in business and supply chain management. She earned a MBA in finance from Wayne State University in 1991.
