Christina De Luca, CPSM, MCIPS, is chief procurement officer, refining and marketing at BP plc. In her current role, she is responsible for procurement of all non-hydrocarbon spend, totaling more than $15 billion as well as oversight for the businesses purchase to pay processes. Prior to assuming her current position in 2005, De Luca was general manager of management information and developed the forward strategy for process improvement for the refining and marketing segment of BP plc. In 2002, De Luca served as general manager of planning and performance management. Prior to that, she was vice president of manufacturing, supply and trading for BP Southern Africa and was appointed to the board of BP Southern Africa in 2001.

De Luca's industry experience also includes work at AMOCO in Chicago. It was during the BP/Amoco merger that De Luca came to work for BP. Earlier in her career, De Luca joined the Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) at its Philadelphia refinery as a process engineer and worked a variety of roles in refining, strategy development, project and change management. The transformation of the U.S. oil industry in the early 1980s resulted in her employer changing from ARCO to Atlantic Refining Company, to Sunoco and gave her personal insight to varied organizational and management models.

De Luca was a Sloan Fellow at Stanford University where she earned a master's degree in business management. De Luca received her B.S. in chemical engineering from Drexel University.
