Kathy Silverberg, C.P.M., Named NAPM Professional Development Committee Person of the Year

(Dallas, Texas) — Kathy Silverberg, C.P.M. of Houston, Texas, was named the Professional Development Committee (Pro-D) Person of the Year by the National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM) at its 83rd Annual International Purchasing Conference, at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel in Dallas. This national award acknowledges Silverberg for her outstanding leadership and contributions in expanding the professional development efforts for NAPM.

Silverberg is currently purchasing agent for Reef Industries, Inc., in Houston, Texas. She holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration with an emphasis on production/operation management from Bowling Green State University, Ohio. Silverberg joined NAPM–Houston, Inc. in 1988. She has served on professional development, public relations, and awards committees and has held positions as Director and Professional Development Chair. Silverberg has received local awards including New Member of the Year (1989-1990) and District II Professional Development Person of the Year (1997).

The National Association of Purchasing Management is a not-for-profit association that provides national and international leadership in purchasing and supply management research and education.
