Sheryl R. Matsui Named NAPM Membership Activities Committee Person of the Year

(Dallas, Texas) — Sheryl R. Matsui, from Honolulu, Hawaii, was named the Membership Activities Committee (MAC) Person of the Year by the National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM) at its 83rd Annual International Purchasing Conference, at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel in Dallas. This national award recognizes Matsui for her outstanding leadership and contributions in expanding the national membership efforts of NAPM.

Matsui is currently senior buyer for GTE Supply in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is responsible for procurement of products and services to support regional field activities in Hawaii. Matsui holds a bachelor’s of business administration from the University of Hawaii-Manoa. She has been an active member of NAPM since 1993 holding such positions as Membership Activities Committee Chair and Second Vice President.

The National Association of Purchasing Management is a not-for-profit association that provides national and international leadership in purchasing and supply management research and education. NAPM provides its more than 44,000 members in its 180 affiliated associations with opportunities to expand their professional skills and knowledge.
