(Tempe, Arizona) — To reflect the growing importance of supply management to organizations seeking to thrive in today’s fast-paced, globally-changing marketplaces, Purchasing Today®, the premier magazine of NAPM and of the field, will be changing to Inside Supply Management™, effective January 1, 2002.
Inside Supply Management™ issues will include more information on the supply management topics critical to the field, than was previously covered in Purchasing Today®, and thus broadening its appeal to more audiences. The magazine will be more inclusive — not limiting the content to purchasing topics, but rather including a larger mix of articles that encompass all areas of the supply management function.
Inside Supply Management™ will continue to offer the wide variety of articles found in Purchasing Today®, such as "how-to" articles, columns addressing legal issues, technology, fundamental tools and case studies, as well as feature articles that offer a more in-depth discussion on supply management topics.
Inside Supply Management™ will debut with the January 2002 issue. Readers can continue to refer to upcoming issues of Purchasing Today® for additional information about the changes and guiding focuses behind Inside Supply Management™.
The National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM), established in 1915, is the world’s leading educator of supply management professionals, and is a valuable resource for decision makers in major markets, government, and industry. Effective January 1, 2002, NAPM will become the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) in recognition of the mounting strategic and global significance of supply chain management.
