(Tempe, AZ) — Through the years the Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM) Report On Business® has been recognized as the nation's most reliable near-term economic indicator, and directly impacts the U.S. economy. This reputation is due largely to the contributions of more than 650 purchasing and supply management executives who are members of one of ISM Business Survey Committees.

At this time, ISM is recruiting committee members, and would like to invite affiliate members to join one of the ISM Business Survey Committees. Membership on the committees is diversified by SIC category, based on each industry's contribution to national income. ISM Business Survey Committee members have the satisfaction of knowing they are playing an anonymous but key role in improving the economic forecasting skills of supply management professionals as well as expanding the influence of ISM and the purchasing and supply management profession. Additionally, these reports are used by economists, government officials, and the private sector as an insight into the manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors of the U.S. economy.

Your responsibilities would be simple, but important. For additional information, or to be considered for selection to an ISM Business Survey Committee, contact Kristin Bryson at 800/888-6276, extension 3106. You may also submit an application online at www.ism.ws/ISMReport/ROBSurvey.cfm.
