(Tempe, Ariz.) — The Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM) will air its 39th satellite seminar, "Improving Your Role with Effective Project Management," on June 10, 2004, in partnership with the Project Management Institute (PMI). The program will emphasize business successes that both project management and supply management professionals can achieve through project management. Experts from both professions will define necessary skills, essential steps and useful techniques that will help viewers from both organizations manage projects effectively.

Established in 1969 and headquartered outside Philadelphia, the Project Management Institute (PMI) is the world's leading not-for-profit project management professional association, with more than 125,000 members worldwide. Lori Salamida, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and eLearning program planner for the Project Management Institute, will be the main presenter. Panelists will include: Steve Evans, PMP, principal consultant, SLEvans Enterprises, and Robert J. Hairston, C.P.M., purchasing manager for Corning Inc.

"This is the first time that we've worked with another professional organization to coordinate a satellite seminar," says Paul Novak, ISM CEO. "Working cooperatively to enlighten and educate our respective members allows us to capitalize on the talents and credentials of quality presenters from two professions. Our goal is to enable as many members as possible of both ISM and PMI to view the June 10 broadcast."
