Member-Get-A-Member Campaign Huge Success - ISM Presents Four Awards at 87th Annual International Supply Management Conference

(Tempe, Arizona) - An active membership is key to the strength of an organization. With a strong membership base as its core, the Institute for Supply Management™ values its membership and provides state-of the-art educational resources for supply management professionals, as well as resources that allows an individual the opportunity to grow professionally within their organization while expanding the value of the profession.

The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) recognized excellence in membership by awarding three affiliates and one individual the honor of "leader" in the ISM Member-Get-A-Member Campaign. On May 7, 2002, at the ISM 87th Annual International Supply Management Conference in San Francisco, four awards recognizing the ability to promote ISM and recruit new members were presented to the following:

Mark Kantor (Alpharetta, GA) received an individual award for successfully recruiting 83 new members during the year. Mark surpassed the previous campaign record of 21.

The Affiliate Recruitment Champion was NAPM-Vermont with an overall membership net increase of 79 percent.

In addition to the largest net increase, the campaign also featured a drawing for two additional free seminars. To qualify for the drawing, affiliates had to increase their membership by 15 percent or more. Twenty-six affiliates achieved this goal (NAPM-Alaska, Inc., NAPM-Augusta Area, Inc., NAPM-Bay Area, Inc., NAPM-Central Jersey, Inc., NAPM-Central Texas, Inc., NAPM-Delmarva, Inc., NAPM-Eastern Iowa, Inc., NAPM-Eastern New York, Inc., NAPM-Fingerlakes Region, Inc., NAPM-Florida Gulf Coast, Inc., NAPM-Kansas City, Inc., NAPM-Maine, Inc., NAPM-Mississippi, Inc., NAPM-Missouri Ozarks, Inc., NAPM-Quad Cities, Inc., NAPM-Rural Electric Utilities, Inc., NAPM-Sabine Neeches, Inc., NAPM-Siouxland, Inc., NAPM-Southern Arizona, Inc., NAPM-Southern Minnesota, Inc., NAPM-Tenneva, Inc., NAPM-Toledo, Inc., NAPM-Utah, Inc., NAPM-Vermont, Inc., NAPM-West Georgia, Inc., NAPM-Wichita, Inc.) NAPM-Southern Arizona and NAPM-Utah were randomly selected as winners in the drawing.
