(TEMPE, Ariz.) July 5, 2011 — Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM) is inviting entries for the seventh annual ISM Awards for Excellence in Supply Management.
The competition is open to supply management departments of all sizes and geographic locations, both domestic and international. ISM is accepting entries through an online submission process from July 1 to September 16, 2011. Entries should address big challenges for which new solutions have had wide organizational and/or supply chain impact. Multiple entries are welcomed in each of the following five categories: Process, People, Organization/Structure, Technology and Sustainability.

For the 2012 awards, the project/initiative must (1) have been completed and/or implemented and (2) have measurable outcomes within the date range of October 1, 2008 through September 16, 2011.
An application fee of US$1,000 per organization is required for 2012 award applications. Organizations that submit multiple applications will only be charged this fee once, regardless of the number of applications submitted.
Award recipients will be notified in January 2012 and will be honored at an awards dinner on Sunday, May 6, 2012 during the ISM Annual International Supply Management Conference and Educational Exhibit in Baltimore. Winning organizations agree to present a Conference session describing their projects. The 2012 award winners will join an esteemed group of previous winning organizations, including: Alltel Wireless; BP p.l.c.; DaimlerChrysler; Delphi; Fluor-Hanford; HP; IBM; Johnson & Johnson; KLA-Tencor; L-3 Communications; LG Electronics; Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company; Masco Corporation; Pfizer Inc; Rockwell Collins; Royal KPN Telecom; State of Georgia, DOAS; and the U.S. Postal Service.
