FOR RELEASE: September 23, 2010
(TEMPE, Ariz.) September 23, 2010 — Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM) now offers a fourth language choice — Simplified Chinese — to supply management professionals who are preparing to take Certified Professional in Supply Management® (CPSM®) computer-based Exams. The CPSM® surpasses the demands of the international marketplace and requires supply management professionals to demonstrate multifaceted skills in areas such as supplier relationship management, commodity management, risk and compliance issues, and social responsibility.
All CPSM® candidates register for the CPSM® Exam with ISM. Specific test dates may then be scheduled with Pearson VUE testing centers. When a candidate schedules a specific exam date, he or she is given a choice of language options, which currently include Simplified Chinese as well as English, Korean and Japanese. The translation process involves thorough comparisons and analysis to ensure the degree of difficulty is unchanged, regardless of which language candidates select for their computer-based examination.
CPSM® Exam registration begins a one-year window of time in which the candidates have to study, schedule and sit for their exams at any of Pearson VUE's worldwide testing locations. Exam registrations expire after one year from the date of purchase.
The CPSM® gives supply management professionals a career edge as well as demonstrates a level of knowledge needed to positively impact their organization's supply operation. For more information on the CPSM® designation and how it can benefit you and your employer, contact ISM Professional Credentials online at www.ism.ws or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
