FOR RELEASE: June 3, 2010
(Tempe, Ariz.) June 3, 2010 - For more than one year, Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM) has offered Japanese as a language choice for supply management professionals who are preparing to take the Certified Professional in Supply Management® (CPSM®) computer-based Exams. ISM affiliate ISM-Japan, Inc. was instrumental in providing support for the Japanese language exams.
"Soon after ISM's CPSM® credential became available in May 2008, we partnered with ISM worldwide headquarters to provide candidates with the CPSM® Exam in Japanese," says ISM-Japan, Inc. Chief Executive Officer Osamu Uehara, CPSM, C.P.M., A.P.P. "It is gratifying to hear from those who have successfully achieved the CPSM® and be told that they found the Japanese language option very beneficial." All three CPSM® Exams have been fully translated and available as computer-based exams since April 2009.
Candidates may purchase official ISM CPSM® study materials in English either through the ISM Web site or through the ISM-Japan, Inc. website. The CPSM® Study Guide is available in Japanese through the review course offered through ISM-Japan, Inc. All CPSM® candidates register for the CPSM® Exam with ISM. When a candidate schedules a specific exam date with the computer testing center, the candidate is given a choice of language options. Exam registrations expire after one year from the date of purchase.
The CPSM® surpasses the demands of the international marketplace and requires supply management professionals to demonstrate multifaceted skills in areas such as supplier relationship management, commodity management, risk and compliance issues, and social responsibility.
