ISM Announces Korean as CPSM® Exam Option
FOR RELEASE: March 31, 2010
(TEMPE, Ariz.) March 31, 2010 — Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM) now offers Korean as a language choice for supply management professionals who are preparing to schedule and sit for Certified Professional in Supply Management® (CPSM®) Exams. The CPSM® surpasses the demands of the international marketplace with multifaceted skills in areas such as supplier relationship management, commodity management, risk and compliance issues, and social responsibility. ISM's Korean affiliate, ISM—Korea, Inc., and major employers in Korea are strong supporters of the CPSM® program.
"The Korean translation involved careful conversion of the English CPSM® Exam into the Korean CPSM® Exam," says ISM—Korea, Inc. President S.K. Ryou, CPSM, C.P.M. "Careful comparisons are made after the initial translation to ensure that the degree of difficulty is unchanged. Candidates will experience equally rigorous subject matter, regardless of which language they select for their computer-based examination." To assist students with preparation for the CSPM® Exams, the CPSM® Study Guide and ISM Professional Series are available in Korean from ISM—Korea, Inc. at www.ismkorea.org.
All CPSM® candidates register for the CPSM® Exam with ISM. Specific test dates may then be scheduled with Pearson VUE testing centers. When a candidate schedules their exam with Pearson VUE, he or she is given a choice of language options, which currently include English, Korean and Japanese. The registration begins a one-year window of time in which the candidates have to study, schedule and sit for their exams at any of Pearson VUE's worldwide testing locations. Exam registrations expire after one year from the date of purchase.
The CPSM® gives supply management professionals a career edge as well as demonstrates a level of knowledge needed to positively impact their organization's supply operation.
