(January 20, 2010) — Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM) announces association leader John Engler, president, National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) as the keynote speaker at ISM's 95th Annual International Supply Management Conference and Educational Exhibit in San Diego, April 25-28, 2010 at the San Diego Convention Center. Engler is a former three-term governor of Michigan. From the time he was named NAM President in October 2004, Engler has served as a leading advocate for the nearly 12 million Americans employed directly in manufacturing, educating the public and policymakers on issues that affect this critical sector of the U.S. economy.
During his tenure at the NAM, Engler has emerged as one of the nation's top advocates for policies supporting manufacturing competitiveness, economic growth and job creation. The association is a leader on pro-growth policies ranging from taxes and trade to infrastructure, energy and consumer-driven health care. Engler will speak on "Speeding the Recovery: Manufacturing and the Global Supply Chain," on Monday, April 26.
