FOR RELEASE: October 14, 2009

ISM's Black Executive Supply Management Summit is February 2-4, 2010.

(TEMPE, Ariz.) October 14, 2009 — Register now to attend the 7th Annual Black Executive Supply Management Summit (BESMS), February 2-4, 2010 at the Omni San Diego Hotel in San Diego. Presented by Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM), the program, titled "Fueling the Recovery: Fueling the Pipeline," will focus on the challenges faced by senior and middle managers in their career progression as well as on the challenge of recruiting talent.

ISM's Black Executive Supply Management Summit — now in its seventh year — focuses on the power of relationships and will provide opportunities to hear from thought-leaders and change agents from leading organizations. This will be the fourth year that a case competition for students is offered. Student teams will present cases on the afternoon of February 2, 2010. In addition to showcasing the next generation of supply management talent, student team members will also hear from practitioners on how to establish themselves in the supply management profession.

ISM is co-locating the 7th Annual Black Executive Supply Management Summit, the 3rd Annual Hispanic Supply Management Summit and the 2nd Annual Women Executive Supply Management Summit. All three Summits are focusing on being prepared for the economic recovery — on a personal and company level. BESMS sessions topics will cover topics such as making sure your suppliers are ready for the recovery, outcomes of survival from impacted industries and a peer panel featuring top-shelf professionals in supply management.

Proceeds from this program will be used as scholarship funds to be awarded to students from selected Historically Black Colleges and Universities and other minority universities to attend ISM's Annual International Supply Management Conference and Educational Exhibit April 25-28, 2009 in San Diego.

Register now by visiting the ISM Web site. Registration fee is $795 (USD) for ISM members and $995 (USD) for nonmembers. Register early to receive your $100 USD discount. Team discounts and student rates are available.
