(TEMPE, Ariz.) May 5, 2008 — Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM) has awarded ISM—Nevada, Inc. the prestigious Affiliate of the Year Award. ISM officially announced and honored the 2007 Affiliate of the Year at the 93rd Annual International Supply Management Conference and Educational Exhibit in St. Louis.
"ISM—Nevada, Inc. has been serving supply management professionals throughout Nevada and the western U.S. since the 1980s," said Affiliate President Jim Haining, C.P.M., A.P.P. "As a geographically diverse affiliate, we strive to meet the professional needs of our members throughout the state and region. ISM—Nevada's mission is to lead supply management professionals in Nevada and other states through certification, education, leadership development and networking. Receiving the ISM Affiliate of the Year is recognition of the efforts of our many volunteers and board members who work tirelessly for our affiliate membership."
Affiliate Excellence Awards recognize ISM affiliates that demonstrate an awareness and distinction in their professional operations, educational offerings, ability to recruit, train and retain members, while at the same time communicating the value and prestige of ISM and the supply management profession. Each ISM affiliate, regardless of size, has the opportunity to achieve Affiliate Excellence recognition by meeting each of the core competency requirements.
