ISM Offers First in Series of Programs for Women in Supply Management

St. Louis is location of May 6, 2008 event targeted to women supply management professionals.

(TEMPE, Ariz.) April 8, 2008 — The world's largest and most respected supply management organization, Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM), continues to promote the profession and organization to communities that have not been highly represented in the past. ISM's Women Executive Supply Management Summit will be held May 6, 2008 from 7:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Renaissance Grand Hotel in St. Louis. This unique, first-time event for women in supply management will be held in conjunction with ISM's 93rd Annual International Supply Management Conference and Educational Exhibit, May 4-7, 2008.

ISM's Women Executive Supply Management Summit features a presentation by Susan Franzen, president of LifeU®, Inc., titled "Aligning Employee Contributions for Unstoppable Momentum." Franzen's dynamic session will be followed by an hour of "speed networking" to allow supply management professionals the unique opportunity to multiply their professional network and advance their own professional growth in one setting.

ISM values and seeks diverse membership, volunteer leadership and staff. There are no barriers to full participation in the Institute on the basis of ethnic background, gender, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin or disability. Any Annual Conference registrant can register to attend the Women Executive Supply Management Summit. There are no additional fees to attend; however, the person must be registered for the Annual Conference. Space is limited and Summit registrations will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
