(Tempe, Ariz.) March 30, 2007 — The Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM) announces that the call for presenters is open at ISM's 93rd Annual International Supply Management Conference and Educational Exhibit. The event will take place in St. Louis, Mo. May 4-7, 2008.
ISM invites those involved in supply management to share knowledge, ideas, successes and insight by presenting a workshop session at the premier supply management event of the year. Conference presenters will increase their networking opportunities and contribute to the profession by empowering attendees to make an impact through strong supply management.
ISM seeks presentation proposals from all sectors, including manufacturing, non-manufacturing, service, institutional and public. There are 17 topic areas to choose from, including commodities, cost/price strategies, finance and economics, general management, negotiations and social responsibility. Creative and innovative approaches are also encouraged. Presenters should be prepared to share management successes, best practices, and tools and techniques with their audience.
Most workshops are 60 minutes long and include a question-and-answer period for those who attend. More than 2,000 attendees are expected at the 2008 Conference — more than half of those will hold the title of manager or above.
To submit a proposal, log on to www.ism.ws and follow the links to the 2008 Conference. Beginning April 1, log on directly at www.ism.ws/go?page=294. Complete the Web-based proposal form and submit it electronically. Presenters may submit up to three proposals for consideration, either as a co-presenter or an individual. The deadline for proposals is midnight (EST), Sunday July 1, 2007. Please direct questions to Jaime Leinen at ISM 800/888-6276 or 480/752-6276, extension 3056, or by e-mail at email@example.com.
