BRICKS AND MORTAR
A term that refers to the physical assets constructed from bricks and mortar where organizational activities occur. Some organizations only operate from physical buildings while others operate via Internet-only operations and still others have a combination of both types of operations. For example, banking customers may choose to do all their banking at the local branch face-to-face with a bank employee, or do all of it over the Internet or some activities at the branch and some online.
